Is it dishwasher safe?
Where the maker states it, the card says so. Where nobody states it, wash it by hand: a printed mug that was never meant for a dishwasher comes out of one faded, and that cannot be undone.
What size is a mug here?
Most are the standard eleven ounce. Fifteen ounce versions exist and the card names the size where the maker publishes it.
Is the print on both sides?
Often, and that is worth checking. A two-sided print means the joke faces the room whichever hand holds it.
