Is an enamel pin different from a patch?

A pin is metal with a backing that fastens through fabric. A patch is stitched or ironed on and stays. Both are on this page and the card names which.

Will an iron-on patch survive a wash?

Ironed on alone, rarely for long. A few stitches around the edge afterwards make it permanent, and that is true of every iron-on patch.

Are stickers waterproof?

Vinyl ones are, paper ones are not, and the card says which where the maker states it. If it does not say, assume paper.
